Finding Time for Date Nights
I’m staring at my schedule for the next few days leading to Christmas, and it just hit me that I don’t really have that much time to get all my shopping done! Well, I promised myself that I’ll get at least half of that done this weekend, before the stores get too crowded. When my do list gets too long, I feel so overwhelmed that I just pause and check which of the things in there can I delay or delete. But when I got to “date night with hubby” item, I can’t help but smile. There’s no way that item will get delayed or deleted! Not after he just got me my new sterling silver heart charm bracelet - well, who can say no to that ?
Life can really get chaotic sometimes, and when both partners work, couples may have a hard time finding time to have a romantic night out. It gets more complicated when there are kids to think of. But it’s really important for couples to take the time out and just be by themselves. Date nights don’t even have to be expensive. Hey, it may even be a be a downright cheesy date, but who cares?
Sometimes it’s easy to forget how important a date night is when we get caught up in our daily routine, but a little effort goes a long way. You won’t regret having “alone” time because it brings you closer to your spouse. Maybe you can kidswap with a neighbor or better yet, ask mom to come over and play granny for a night!
