My friend just invited me to go camping and hiking next week so I’m trying to come up with a checklist of what to bring and what items I need to wear. Luckily, my dad is an avid outdoors man so he’s helping me plan all the things that I need. He’s letting me borrow his stainless steel multi-function pocket knife since he knows that it will come in handy while we are on the three day trip. I love the outdoors but have never really gone hiking for a long time before. My other friends are arriving from different states so it will be a fun get together and adventure.

Another thing that my dad suggested was that I get comfortable hiking shoes. He says it will help me a lot since I’m not used to hiking in the first place, it would be helpful to get something that will help soothe my feet. I’m thinking of getting this trail running shoes since they work great and are very soft inside. I tried them out once from my friend and I might get my own pair before the weekend comes. I’m excited to be hanging out with my friends and also a little nervous since I’ve never really tried hiking before so it’s something new to me. Hopefully, we’ll all have a great time.
